Well, this has been an incredibly productive week! I actually have dressers in my bedroom now. (Long story short, I needed new ones and chose to buy 2 short chest of drawers that I could use as bedside tables too. But they needed to be assembled and someone in my house lost all of my hammers. So I finally got fed up with trying to find them and went out and bought a couple new ones. And now I have dressers. I guess I didn’t make the story terribly short after all). My room is really coming together now.
I also went on a writing spree and wrote a ton of new blog posts. Some are still awaiting photos but I do hope you’ll check out the ones I’ve published recently. I’m nearly all packed and ready for our trip to Quebec City in a week (yes, I do like to get organized really early for a trip!). And while putting away my clothing, I went through it all and got rid of all the old ragged stuff. While doing all of this, I’ve been binge watching a lot of Netflix. I’m in the mood lately for mysteries. (I put together a whole list of them here). Current obsession: Midsomer Murders. We finally got some real spring weather on the weekend, so I’m all set to get some outdoor cleaning and organizing done too! How was your week?
WEEKLY MEAL PLAN
Your guide to the meals in my menu plans:
FF = Freezer Friendly
SC = Slow Cooker
MF = Meat Free
PLO = Planned Leftovers
I’m also planning extra simple meals on Saturdays and Sundays so that we truly can take a Sabbath and spend some time focusing on family and fun!
MONDAY –
Taco bowls (we seriously LOVE the flour tortilla bowls from Old El Paso), fruit salad
TUESDAY –
Lemon and Greek yogurt chicken (FF), yellow rice, green beans, carrots
WEDNESDAY –
Bistro Burgers, raw veggies and dip
THURSDAY –
Bacon wrapped chicken (SC – this is new for me to cook it in the slow cooker but it’s working well!), potato salad, coleslaw
FRIDAY –
Meat-free Friday: Pierogi Casserole (using soy or coconut bacon bits instead of real bacon – you can use real if you don’t want a meatless meal), tossed salad
SATURDAY –
Super Simple Sabbath Meal: Potato chip chicken fingers (FF), home fries (PLO – potatoes were cooked along with ones for potato salad on Thursday), coleslaw (PLO)
SUNDAY –
Sabbath Dinner: Apple Bacon Pork Chops (SC) – I use the pre-sliced apples and precooked bacon so as to limit the amount of work I have to do on Sunday), egg noodles, corn
