This Felt Strawberry Craft is extra special to me—because I’ve been a strawberry lover for as long as I can remember! Back when I was a kid and even into my teen years, strawberries were everywhere—on kitchen towels, wallpaper borders, dresses, you name it.
I still have the sweetest strawberry oven mitts and placemats that my sister-in-law made me years ago, and every time I see them, they make me smile. So the fact that strawberry-themed everything is making a comeback? I’m so here for it.

Felt Strawberry Craft Tutorial
These felt strawberries are just as charming as the ones from my childhood, and the best part is, they’re super versatile! String them together for a whimsical garland or mobile, pop some magnetic tape on the back for cute fridge magnets, or even turn one into a sweet little brooch with a pin back. Honestly, the possibilities are endless—and just thinking about all the ways to use them makes me positively giddy.
They’re also super quick and easy to make, which means you can whip up a whole berry patch in no time. Whether you’re gifting them or keeping them for yourself (no judgment—I totally would), they’re guaranteed to bring joy.
Psssst – be sure to save any leftover felt for other craft projects. These Santa bow and angel bow ornaments use red and white felt as do these Scandinavian style ornaments.
List of Supplies:
- Felt in red, green, white, and yellow (you can use different shades of these colors for different looks)
- Needle
- Matching thread – be sure to get white for the little spots on the berries
- Stuffing – I used polyester fiberfill
- Pencil
- A pair of scissors
- Strawberry Pattern

Instructions for Felt Strawberry:

Step 1:
Select red, green, white, and yellow colored felt fabrics for the strawberry pattern. Use a pencil or fabric marker to trace the template patterns on the selected felt fabrics and cut them out using scissors. The template includes patterns for the strawberry, leaf, flower, center part of the flower, and stem.

Step 2:
Take a strawberry base cutout and use a pen to add dots for the seeds on the base.

Step 3:
Prepare a needle with white thread and stitch small cross stitches on the dots.

Step 4:
Once all dots are covered with small white crosses, draw the thread to the backside of the base and tie 2 knots to secure it.

Step 5:
Place the small flower cutout in the center of the big flower cutout.

Step 6:
Place the stem cutout on the top side of the dotted strawberry base. Place the leaf cutout to a side (left or right) of the other strawberry base, near the top.

Step 7:
Place the stitched strawberry base on the top of the plain one, keeping the leaf cutout between the bases.

Step 8:
Place the flower pattern on the top side of the strawberry bases, right above the leaf part.

Step 9:
Prepare a needle with yellow thread and work a cross stitch on the center of the flower, stitching through the leaf, stem, and bases all together.

Step 10:
Tie a knot at the backside and cut off extra thread. Prepare a needle with red thread and work a flat blanket stitch around the side of the bases.

Step 11:
Keep a small opening for stuffing. We are using cotton for stuffing.

Step 12:
Once the stuffing is done, close the opening and secure the thread by tying 2 or 3 knots. Insert the needle through the felt pattern and draw it out in the opposite direction. Cut off extra thread.
