Welcome back to Summer Fun Fridays. This is a beginner sewing project that is loads of fun. Your kids can make an easy to sew felt purse with this simple tutorial.
This is an inexpensive craft project too because you can get most, if not all, of the supplies at your local dollar store. Make a small one to serve as a coin purse or make it larger to use as a wallet or clutch purse.
Note: if making a larger size, you will want to use a stiffer felt or add some kind of stabilizer to hold its shape.

Step – 4:
While stitching the side of purse, make sure to stitch both parts (front and backside) of the folded part. Work flat blanket stitch along the sides as well.

After stitching both sides, work your way towards the open end of the flap part. Work flat blanket stitch on the flap as well.
Step – 6:
Cut a small slit 9according to the button size) and work flat blanket stitch around the slit.
Step – 7:
Close the flap and flatten it with the purse. Use a pencil to mark the point for the button, through the slit. Stitch the button on the marked point of the purse base.
Step – 8:
Close the flap and insert the button through the slit to check.
Step – 9:
Trace and cut out the round shapes from different colored felt fabric. Trace the leaf patterns on green felt. Stitch the round cutouts together by stitching them in the center.
