These no sew felt bee bookmarks are absolutely adorable and so easy to make. Because they require the use of Sharpies, scissors, and a hot glue gun, this craft project is best for older kids. You can also make them with younger children, but of course, they will need more supervision.
Only a few materials needed making this an inexpensive kids’ craft project too. Follow our step-by-step tutorial below.

No Sew Felt Bee Bookmarks
Supplies Needed:
- Felt
- Pencil
- Hot glue and glue gun – You can substitute a good white tacky glue for the hot glue but of course, this will increase the need for drying time.
- A pair of scissors – good kids’ scissors like Fiskars will work on some felt as long as it’s not too thick
- Sharpies or other permanent markers
- Pattern template
Instructions:
Step 1:
Prepare the template patterns by printing and cutting out the patterns. Select colored felt for the bee bookmark pattern. Trace the template patterns on the selected felt fabrics and cut them out using scissors.
Step 2:
Take any one of the bee body base cutouts and use a black sharpie to trace the eyes and mouth-line of the bee. Use pink sharpie to draw blush spots on the cheeks.
Step 3:
Use hot glue to attach the strip cutout on the body part of the base. Use scissors to trim the extra sides of the attached strips.
Step 4:
Take the other body base cutout and attach the stinger cutout on the bottom side of the base, keeping the pointy end facing out.
Step 5:
Attach the antenna cutouts on the top side of the head part.
Step 6:
Glue the wing cutouts on both sides of the body part.
Step 7:
Place the front body base on the top of the plane base, keeping the stinger and the antennas between the bases.
Step 8:
Glue the 2 bases together along their open sides.
Step 9:
Glue the felt bee on one side of the bookmark strip. Glue the small round cutout in the center of the flower cutout.
Step 10:
Glue the felt flower pattern on the other open end of the bookmark strip.
