FELT SANTA AND ANGEL BOW ORNAMENT CRAFT

Materials needed:

  • Felt Craft Sheets – Red, White, Cream
  • Template provided
  • Glue Gun and Glue Sticks
  • Liquid Glue with fine tip applicator
  • Scissors
  • Chipboard or Poster Board
  • Permanent Marker or Chalk Pencil
  • Ribbons – Red and White
  • Seed Beads – Black
  • Buttons – Gold
  • Pom Pom – White Tinsel
  • Chenille Stem – Gold Tinsel
  • Santa and Angel Bow Ornament Patterns

Instructions:

STEP ONE

Gather all supplies.  Download, print, and cut out Santa and Angel Bow Ornament Patterns.  If making a lot of ornaments, trace patterns onto chipboard and cut out for sturdiness.  Trace patterns onto red, white and cream colored felt craft sheets according to directions on pattern sheet.

Cut out all patterns with sharp detail scissors.

PRO TIP:  Cut inside the traced lines to ensure you end up with a clean finished project.

STEP TWO

To create the bows, attach left side to center and then right side to center with a glue gun and glue sticks.  Flip over and glue the large bow tails to the center.  Cut the small bow tails in half and attach to either side of the large bow tails.

STEP THREE

To assemble Santa, attach hat band to bottom of hat, and head to bottom of hat with a glue gun and glue sticks.  Glue Santa’s beard and mustache bow to the head, and then adhere the nose to the center of the beard bow.

Apply two small dots of liquid glue with a fine tip applicator and place black seed beads into the glue.  Set aside to dry.

Fold the point of Santa’s hat down and secure with a glue gun and glue sticks.  Attach a white tinsel pom pom to Santa’s hat.

STEP FOUR

To assemble the Angel, attach the head to the back of the bow body with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Cut a four-inch section of gold tinsel chenille stem, bend into a circle and twist to secure.  Glue to the back of the angel head.  Flip over and attach a gold button to the center of the angel bow body.

STEP FIVE

Measure and cut twelve-inch lengths of red (for Santa) and white (for angel) ribbon, one for each ornament.  Tie the ends in a knot to create a loop, and then secure to the back of each ornament with a glue gun and glue sticks.
