A while back I shared with you some of the DIY/Craft blogs that I visit on a regular basis and I thought that it’s high time I share a list of Canadian blogs too!
This is by no means an exhaustive list and I will be adding to it, but for now, these are some of the Canadian family friendly bloggers you should know about.
First off, there’s me. Ha! Of course you’re already on my blog Creative Cynchronicity and I hope you’ve had a chance to look around and get to know me a bit. I also am co-owner of Gagen Girls. It’s a mother-daughter blog with my daughter and we share posts from our own unique perspectives as empty nester/meemaw and married mom of young kids. If you’re looking just for food and recipe content, check out our blog Mixin Mamas. Anything related to Christianity/Catholicism is at Creative Catholic Mamas and anything related to teaching or homeschooling is at Creative EdVentures.
Kristen from My 3 Little Kittens –
My 3 Little Kittens is filled with everything you need to know about cats – from bringing a new one into your home to caring for them and so much more. If you love cats, you need to check out her blog.
Sandi from Canadian Blog House –
“You will find me engaging in the community, striving to bring you the best of what I find on the internet, and bringing you many exciting opportunities to win prizes.” – Sandi sums it up right there….”engaging in the community”.She cares about her readers and has built a loving community with them.
Joann from Woman in Real Life –
“I hope that you will grab a cup of tea and a sweet and join me to explore ideas about cooking, baking, parenting, thrift shopping, poetry, decorating, books, exercise and whatever else we come across “in real life.”” – Do it. Grab that cup of tea and a sweet and sit down with Joann for a while. You won’t regret it.
Christine from Life on Manitoulin –
“City girl moves to the country, falls in love, and marries a farmer. She tries to incorporate her city ways with her new country lifestyle and blogs to keep in touch with friends, family & students who live far, far away 🙂 Can this city girl go country? Watch as she learns all sorts of exciting things about life on the farm and in a small rural community.” – Ok, now Christine is pretty darn amazing and shares beautiful heartfelt and inspiring content but really, the big draw is her little one. That kid knocks my socks off!
Alex from North Story –
“My Nikon is surgically attached to my hand and I needed a place to put the photos. We live in a little McHome in the suburbs in Canada that we are trying to fix up while dreaming of living in a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere.” – There is something about Alex’s blog that just makes me exhale a big sigh of relief. It’s just so clean and pretty and there are images that make my heart pitter patter from the simplicity of them.
Regina from Leelalicious –
“I LOVE delicious food! But I want it to be nutritious as well. I hope you enjoy my balanced, real-food recipes.” – Ohhhh my! Regina has recipes that are to die for. Yummy yummy desserts is what I first knew her for but her savoury recipes look just as amazing. If you love good food, you must check out Leelalicious.
Julie from SoberJulie –
As Julie says, “After facing her alcoholism and being involved in a car accident Julie began writing at SoberJulie where you’ll find that this funky blogger takes the tired, unappetizing reputation about sobriety and turns it into a day at the circus.” That is the perfect way to describe it! Julie’s blog is fun – lots of great ideas for recipes, mocktails, travel and more but one thing that really stands out is her willingness to be vulnerable and share even the difficult parts of her journey through life with her readers.
Ok, this list should get you started. More to come! Be sure to leave your suggestions in the comments below for the next list.

There are some amazing blogs here. I’m sad to see I didn’t make the cut. Maybe next time… I’ve been buying working in an office.

Keep in mind that ‘family friendly’ does not exclusively refer to moms. Notably absent from this list are any dad bloggers, of which in Canada there are several – many of whom offer high quality content and devoted readership/followers.
(and yes, I’d be included on that list…but also Canadian Dad, Dad Camp and more!)
Shash says
The second paragraph says, “This is by no means an exhaustive list and I will be adding to it, but for now, these are some of the Canadian family friendly bloggers you should know about.” This is a list of HER recommendations, an incomplete list at that. I’d also like to point out, the last family friendly blog recommendation is written by teenagers, not moms.

Great list! Keep them coming as I love discovering and supporting other Canadians.
Besos Sarah.
