blogathonsummerOk so technically we have until 8 am tomorrow but after all the hours I’ve put in this weekend, I’m going to say stick a fork in me because I’m done!  I got up and started working at 930 am yesterday and other than bathroom and food breaks, I kept going until 3:15 this morning (there was some social media management in there too but most of that time was blogathon stuff!).  I did a bit more today but only maybe half an hour’s worth.  As a result I accomplished SO MUCH!  You can see my complete checklist here of what I had planned and what I got done from that list.

For the most part, on each goal, I exceeded what I had asked of myself – for example, I said I’d do 3 additional mini challenges and I actually did FIFTEEN!   I even started a newsletter – you can subscribe to it over to the right in the sidebar – and will start sending it out on Monday July 1st.  The one thing I didn’t even touch was my goal of going through and fixing my broken links.  I figured out that it was just too long and daunting of a task to sit down and do in one shot.  I also found that I loved the interaction within the Twitter parties and the Facebook group and that kept me motivated and moving to the next task.  I liked having lots of variety of things to do – it kept me from feeling like it was drudgery.  AND I learned so much.

If you are a blogger, I highly recommend you consider taking part in the next one, January 24-27 2014.  In the meantime, head on over to the Biannual Blogathon Bash website – you can still check out all the mini challenges from this and previous blogathons and I promise you, you’ll find something there that you can learn and apply to YOUR blog!
