I can’t thank Cyn enough for allowing to share a little bit of my corner of the world today. I am Kelley also known as Miss Information. I have 2 boys, 4 and 9, who are very active. Every year I go looking for summer ideas for kids to keep my boys out from in front of the TV and video games. Every year at the beginning of summer we make a summer bucket list of things we want to try to do over the summer. I find having a list like this helps us to actually do things instead of winging it. When we wing it we end up doing nothing! This week Matthew and I Made these Cute Bulletin Board Push Pins with Mod Melts.
Here are some of our favorites from last year:
Here are some of the things we are trying to accomplish this year!
And while we want to have lots of fun we don’t want to forget everything we learned last year so we are doing some refresher work over the summer. Here are some great ideas to Avoid the Summer Slide!
I hope you enjoyed our Summer Ideas for Kids and will come visit at Miss Information when you have a chance!
WOW! Kelley, thanks so much for these fantastic ideas! What kid wouldn’t love all these fun activities? Adding the Lego Gummies and Make Your Own Bouncy Balls to our summer bucket list for sure (but hoping to fit all of these in!!!).
Come back next Friday, July 5th for more great ideas like these!

Those suckers look like fun to make, and I think my son would also like to try some experiment as well!

Some of these ideas bring back happy fun memories of when I was raising our 5 kids. We did so many activities, crafts, recipes and celebrations on what would be otherwise ordinary days to make them special and memorable. Not just in the summer, but all year around. Their friends loved coming over to join us. If there was a snow day their friends all would come over to see what fun ideas we had going on and if they could join. lol I was addicted to Family Fun Magazine all those years too because they always had such great inspirations for us. My kids are all grown up on their own now, but if I ever have any grandkids I am sure I will get right back on track with these kinds of things again. : ) In the meantime now my soulmate/bff love of my life husband Todd and I have our own bucket list, mostly to do with traveling.
