Louisiana: A Taste of the Big Easy

When it comes to experiencing an authentic Southern summer, there’s no place like Louisiana—home to vibrant New Orleans and known for its soulful music, delicious food, and lively festivals. Jazz Fest takes place in late spring, and let me tell you—it’s a must-see event! Wander through the charming streets of the French Quarter, admiring the colorful architecture and snapping photos by the iconic St. Louis Cathedral. And don’t forget to sample some beignets and gumbo at the famous Café du Monde!

Georgia: Sweet Southern Charm and Cultural Exploration

Next up, we venture to Georgia, where history and natural beauty come together in harmony. Discover the charm of Savannah by taking a stroll through Forsyth Park and snapping memorable photos by the iconic fountain. If you venture north and want an active, outdoor activity to fill the day, then river tubing is one of the many fun summer activities to do in North Georgia. Then in Atlanta, don’t miss the opportunity to visit the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park to pay tribute to an extraordinary life. Time your visit right, and you might even catch the legendary Atlanta Food & Wine Festival!

Texas: A Big Adventure in the Lone Star State

Texas might be best known for its larger-than-life attitude, but there’s so much more to the Lone Star State! With diverse terrain and distinct regional cultures, Texas provides countless unique experiences. For a taste of true Texan charm, head to the historic San Antonio River Walk, where you’ll find an assortment of picturesque bridges and delectable Tex-Mex restaurants. And be sure to attend the famous Austin City Limits Music Festival for an unforgettable melodic treat!

Tennessee: Music, Mountains, and Memories

Last but not least is Tennessee, where the mountains meet the music. From the Great Smoky Mountains’ serene beauty to the buzzing music scene of Nashville, there’s so much to explore in this charming state. Don’t miss the chance to visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and snap a photo with the iconic Grand Ole Opry backdrop. Oh, and Dollywood, anyone? This delightful theme park is perfect for a day of family fun in the picturesque Pigeon Forge area.

Now I hope you’re ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure to one or more of the four Southern states you should visit this summer. Whether in Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, or Tennessee, your summer vacation will surely be one for the history books!
