This vanilla coconut lime foot scrub is so easy to make and refreshing to use. Help get rid of that dry, rough winter skin just in time for summer sandal season.
The coconut oil is soothing, while the sugar helps to slough away dry skin. The vanilla, coconut, and lime scents make for a light, breezy aroma that can help eliminate foot odor as well.

INGREDIENTS:
1 C white sugar
ΒΌ C coconut oil
1 large lime
1 tsp vanilla paste
DIRECTIONS:
Add sugar to a medium mixing bowl.
In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt coconut oil in the microwave at 10 second intervals until melted. If the coconut oil gets too warm, allow it to cool before going on to the next step.
Pour the melted coconut oil into the sugar.
Using a microplane, zest the entire lime into the bowl.
Cut the lime in half and squeeze half the lime to the sugar mixture. Add the vanilla paste.
Whisk mixture together until well combined.
Add mixture into a container with a tight-fitting lid.
To use:
You want to scoop out a small amount into clean hands. Apply to your feet rubbing all over and then rinsing thoroughly.
You can use this scrub on other parts of your body as well, but if using it on our face, be sure to rub very gently, moving in a circular motion. It’s very important not to rub too hard as you can injure your skin. Because of the lime juice in this, you also need to be sure not to leave it on too long. Use the scrub and rinse it off right away.
Storage:
It is best to store this in the fridge. It should last for several weeks.
Warning:
Be extremely careful if using it in the shower/bathtub. The oil in it can make it quite slippery. Work with a small amount at a time to avoid using too much of the scrub and making it extra slippery. Take care getting out of the shower/bath and be sure to clean the tub well after using it.
Personally, I like to use this with a dish pan that I use only for beauty purposes (foot soaks, scrubs, etc).
