Why You’ll Love This Recipe

  • Perfect for peach season: Use fresh, juicy peaches while they’re at their peak.
  • Customizable: Swap in nectarines or berries if you’d like.
  • No special waffle iron required: Works with both waffle irons or silicone molds.
  • A sweet but balanced treat: Creamy Greek yogurt and just a touch of honey let the fruit shine.

Whether you’re picking peaches fresh from the market or using up a few from your fruit bowl, these waffles are a delicious way to start the day. The creamy yogurt topping pairs perfectly with the sweet, juicy fruit for a breakfast that feels both comforting and refreshing.

Peaches and Cream Waffles FAQs

Can I make these waffles ahead of time?

Yes! You can make the waffles in advance and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze them for up to a month. Reheat in the toaster or oven until warmed through and crisp.

Can I use canned or frozen peaches instead of fresh?

Absolutely. While fresh peaches offer the best flavor and texture, canned (drained) or thawed frozen peaches will work too, especially when peaches aren’t in season.

Do I need a waffle iron to make this recipe?

Nope! If you don’t have a waffle iron, you can use silicone waffle molds and bake them in the oven. Both methods yield delicious results.

Is there a dairy-free option for this recipe?

Yes — you can substitute the buttermilk with a plant-based buttermilk alternative (like almond milk mixed with a little lemon juice) and use a dairy-free yogurt on top.

What can I serve with these waffles for brunch?

These waffles pair well with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, or a fresh fruit salad. A cup of coffee or iced tea makes the perfect finishing touch!
