Halloween Monster Brownie Recipe

This recipe is so simple to make. It takes 15 minutes or less to mix up the brownie batter and about half an hour in the oven making this the perfect last minute Halloween treat recipe.
Let the kids help you pick out the candies to add – older kids can even take over the decorating themselves! Just remember to use caution with the hot cake pan.

The really fun part – well, besides eating them!!! – with this Halloween Monster Brownie recipe is picking out the candies to decorate them with.
Check out your grocery store, department store, and stores with cake decorating supplies (Michaels has a good selection of Wilton products) for a variety of candy to use.
Will you add eyes, teeth, candy corn, or maybe some gummi worms? Look for Halloween colors and shapes for the spookiest results.

Important tip: While the brownies are baking, get all of your candies out of the packages. Cut them up (if needed) and make sure they are completely ready to be added to the freshly baked brownies. You want to add them quickly so they will stick to the hot batter.

You can think ahead of how you will be slicing the brownies and place the candies carefully – perhaps you want to make faces – or simply throw them on randomly. Either way results in a fun Halloween treat! Happy haunting!
