A couple years ago my mom came to visit for the Christmas holidays. We were talking about foods we would serve over the holiday period and she said, “Ohhhhhh, have you ever had firecrackers? They’re SO good!” She made us some and boy was she right! They are good to the point of being addictive. We must have made 3 or 4 batches of them that Christmas – and I don’t even think we gave any as gifts!!! It was all just for us. So when I heard about the #doyourranch challenge from my pal Laura Kelly, I knew I had to take part.

There are several different versions of firecrackers out there, usually under the name Alabama Firecrackers. This is my own adaptation which I’ve then added to and turned into a snack mix. Let’s call it Canadian Firecracker Snack Mix 🙂
