List of Supplies Needed:
- Craft wire
- Craft pliers
- Flower template printed on a paper
Instructions:
Step -1:
Grab the wire and create a small loop at its open end without cutting the wire from the bundle.
Step -2:
Circle the wire around the loop 3 or 4 times to create a twirl pattern.
Step – 3:
Place the wire twirl on the template to check size. Create a bend (about 90 degrees or a little less) towards the outer side of the twirl. From this bent part the petals of the wire flower will start.
Step – 4:
Use flat nose pliers to bend the wire according to the petal patterns on the template.
Step – 5:
Continue to create the petals one after another and try to keep the size of the petals as even as possible.
Step – 6:
Once you are done creating the petals, use the flat nose pliers to tighten the bent parts between every 2 petals.
Step – 7:
Nicely arrange the petals around the twirl. Now bend the open end of the wire towards the outer side to form the stem part of the bookmark.
Step – 8:
Bend and curve the wire along the leaf pattern.
Step – 9:
Once the outline of the leaf is formed, keep enough wire to create the middle line of the leaf and cut off wire from the bundle. Bend the remaining wire inside the leaf pattern. You can hammer the wire flower bookmark to give it a finished look. Insert the twirled part of the flower inside a page to use it as a bookmark.
