These cookies are easy to make and decorate. You can get the kids involved, let them spread the frosting, and add the sprinkles, too!

Valentine’s Day Heart Cookies
Servings: 12 cookies

Chilling Time: 30 minutes
Baking Time: 15 minutes
Cookies Ingredients:
1½ cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 cup caster sugar
1 egg
¼ cup oat or almond milk
Frosting ingredients:
1 cup cream cheese
1 cup butter
1 ½ cup icing sugar
Red food colouring
Sprinkles of your choice
¼ cup heavy cream

Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Whisk together flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large mixing bowl.
- Add egg, milk, and butter to the bowl of dry ingredients. Use a hand mixer to beat the ingredients for 3 minutes.
- Wrap the mixture in a cling film and place in a freezer for 30 minutes.
- When ready, roll out dough; using a heart-shaped cookie cutter cut out a cookie and place it on parchment paper.
- Bake for 15 minutes until golden and risen.
- To prepare the frosting, mix cream cheese, cream, and icing sugar. Use a hand mixer until fully incorporated.
- Add food coloring, stir, and keep adding until strong red is reached.
- Frost cookies using a spoon, and then decorate with sprinkles.
