I awakened to the sound of a thunderstorm this morning. It only lasted about 15 minutes though and once it was over, the air was clear, temperatures were mild and comfortable, and the sun started peeking out.
I decided, for my morning walk, to head to the local Civic Garden Complex.
The ground there are beautiful, despite the fact that most of the flowers aren’t yet in bloom.
In a few weeks this place will really come to life with colour.
When the roses come into bloom, people flock to these gardens. Families have family portraits taken here, weddings come here for their photographs, and the place just comes alive with visitors.
One little rose decided to brave our strange weather alone.
Quite frankly, I enjoyed the solitude. I saw a couple other people there walking their dogs but they quickly disappeared onto some of the adjoining trails and I was there soaking it all in by myself.
