Each year I love to find, make, and share as many candy corn recipes, crafts, and ideas as I can and this year, I’m sharing this adorable Glitter Candy Corn Pin. It’s SO quick and easy to make and adds a little touch of Halloween to any outfit.

It’s that time of year again. Candy corn season! Oh, maybe you call it fall or autumn or even Halloween? But one of my favourites of this time of year is the candy corn.
Yes I know you can buy it at other times of the year – at least in some places – but it’s this classic yellow, orange, and white that makes me so happy. Those colours make me smile. Do you know that when I was about 10 years old my room was even decorated in those colours?

This glitter candy corn pin is super quick and easy to make. You will have to allow some drying time before adding the pin back but other than that, it takes only about 15 minutes to put this together.
Make and give these to friends, let your kids make some, or just whip one up for yourself even as a last minute Halloween touch. If you’re a frequent crafter, you likely even have the supplies you need already on hand.
Try making smaller versions as earrings (add a hole and put in an earring wire hook or glue a butterfly earring post on the back) or turn one into a pendant. You can even make a collection of glitter candy corn shapes and use them to embellish a fall wreath.

- A candy corn-shaped base – Cardboard, fun foam, and even a plastic coffee can lid all work for this. Sometimes you can find wooden candy corn shapes at the dollar store in the fall too.
- Glue – I highly recommend Aleene’s Tacky Glue for the best hold.
- A pin back
- Glitter in three colors – gold/yellow, white, and orange/copper
- A brush for applying the glue
- A piece of paper – photocopy paper, waxed paper, or parchment all work for this
How to Make the Candy Corn Pin:
- Begin by applying glue to the base of the candy corn shape. Spread it evenly using the brush.
- Sprinkle on the gold/yellow glitter to cover the glue.
- If there are any spots missing glitter, just add a dab of glue and sprinkle on more glitter to fill it in.
- Shake off any excess onto the paper and add it back to your jar.
- Add glue to the other end of the candy corn (the pointed tip) as you did with the base.
- Sprinkle on white glitter and shake off excess as before.
- Finally, add glue to the center section and add the orange/copper glitter to it, repeating the same process as the previous two colors.
- Leave the candy corn to dry thoroughly.
- Turn the candy corn over and glue on the pin back.

Try making this fun craft yourself or get your kids together and let them each make one! If you do make it, I’d love to see photos of the finished pins or whatever item you choose to make with this technique.
This is a fun craft to make and relatively inexpensive if you buy the glitter in bulk so it’s perfect for large groups like Girl Scouts and Brownies.
