As a #KinderMom I get sent all kinds of yummy Kinder goodies to share with my family and friends. Children and adults alike get so excited when given a Kinder treat – their faces just light up and it’s so much fun to spread that kind of joy around. I know that I am blessed and that some families are having a tougher time during the holiday season. My niece is a preschool teacher and a former student of hers who had graduated and gone on to Junior Kindergarten has recently had a relapse with her leukemia. She has now spent weeks in the hospital getting treatment and very well may be there over the holidays as well.
So when I found out that Kinder Canada had partnered with the Children’s Miracle Network to help children who are in hospital through their “A Joy To Share” program, I was especially touched by it. If you go to the Kinder Canada Facebook page, you and your children can create an electronic holiday greeting card that will then be delivered to children in CMN member hospitals, bringing a bit of joy to their days. That’s not all. For every card that’s created, Kinder Canada will donate $1 to the Children’s Miracle Network. What a great way to not only bring some happiness into the day of a child in the hospital but also as a fantastic way of teaching our children about helping others. Kinder Canada’s goal is to raise $25,000 through this program. It only takes a minute to create one of the greeting cards – will you help them reach that goal?
