Justin Timberlake: The 20/20 Experience

Ok, not really.  But a girl can dream can’t she?  I’m a little late to the Justin Timberlake fan club.  When N’Sync first began, I was a young single mother with a 7 year old daughter.  I didn’t have a lot of time for listening to music (other than what I heard on the radio driving to and from school, work, soccer practice and so on).  Of course I was familiar with their big hits and I liked them but the boy band sound was a bit young for my tastes at the time. Fast forward a few years to Justin releasing his first solo work and appearing for the first time on SNL.  WHOA!  That was my reaction and that was all it took.  My secret love affair with JT had begun.  And with the acting talent he has displayed in his film career, his continued hilarious appearances on SNL (they are by far the BEST SNL episodes ever), and now his return to music with an amazing new album, well, I’m just far too excited and too big a fan to keep my love for him a secret anymore!  When I heard that his new album was coming out on March 19th, I headed to Walmart to pick up a copy right away.  You can see my full shopping experience and insights here.

Have you heard Justin Timberlake’s newest album, The 20/20 Experience yet?  If not, run, don’t walk to your nearest Walmart to pick up a copy.  You won’t be disappointed.  Even if you weren’t a JT fan before, I think you just might find that this album has something for pretty much everyone!  It has a new maturity and sophistication about it that, I think, has appeal for a wider audience and yet, it still retains that JT flavor and charm about it.

The smooth, sexy R&B sound is perfect background music for a quiet night unwinding in front of the fireplace sipping a little wine – or really, with the album’s rich sound, maybe it should be champagne! Justin sets the mood for the album right there on the inside cover photos – various shots of him in a tux.  Excuse me while I stare at the pictures again for a moment.  Pardon the drool.

The 20/20 Experience was just released yesterday and you’re not going to want to dawdle in getting your copy.  I’ve already listened to mine at least 5 times – starting with the ride home from Walmart; it’s just that good!  But, here’s another reason you won’t want to wait.
