DIY Felt and Feathers Cat Toy

Here’s another fun toy you can make for your cat. Simple and inexpensive, you can pick up the supplies for it at your local dollar store. This DIY felt and feathers cat toy is colourful and textured, sure to please even the pickiest of cats. (Okay maybe not the pickiest but it sure pleases our high-maintenance-thinks-she’s-a-princess cat!).

DIY FELT AND FEATHERS CAT TOY

Supplies:

  • Green Felt
  • 2 1/2” long piece of Blue Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun
  • Small yellow pom pom
  • Two small green feathers

Instructions:

Step 1. Cut two pieces of felt that are 3” x 1 1/2”.

Step 2. Lay out one of the rectangles and place the feathers at one of the shorter ends. Place the piece of ribbon off the center of one of the longer sides.

Step 3. Use the hot glue to secure these items into place.

Step 4.  Glue the second felt rectangle over the first. Make sure that the sides are glued down well.

Step 5. Use the hot glue to secure a yellow pom pom near the front of the felt that is opposite the feathers.

And there you have it! A fun toy for your favourite cat.
