Dollar Store Decoupage Vase

Filed Under: CREATE, Dollar Store Crafts

This Dollar Store Decoupage Vase is inexpensive and easy to make. Use it to display artificial flowers or pop a battery operated tea light inside to use as a luminary.

You can use this decoupage technique on a variety of surfaces other than vases too. You can make over an old tray or wooden box and so many other items with it.

Dollar Store Decoupage Vase

Time – 5 minutes

Skill – Easy

Supplies needed:

  • Glass Vase (we got this one from Dollar Tree)
  • “Bee Positive” Napkin (from Dollar Tree – you can substitute with other napkins)
  • Mod Podge
  • Foam Brush
  • Scissors

Instructions:

Open the napkin, and cut in half.

Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge on a section the entire length of the vase.

Carefully place the napkin on the vase, forming the edge onto the bottom, and gently press and form it to the shape of the vase.

Continue applying Mod Podge to sections, and gently shaping the napkin, until you have come to the end of the vase.

Trim any excess napkin, if needed.

Fold the excess top of the napkin into the vase.

Apply Mod Podge all over the entire surface of the napkin vase, and allow to dry.
