Thanks so much to Xanterra Parks for inviting me on this press trip to Ohio which included a visit to Mohican Adventures. Although I received compensation for this post, I really did have a lot of fun there.
A few years ago, when taking a press tour of some Ohio State Parks and attractions nearby, we spent an afternoon at Mohican Adventures in Loudonville, Ohio. Although my back was not up to some of the activities available, I had a blast there. It’s a family-friendly venue, perfect for day of adventure with your kids while staying at nearby Mohican State Park.
SOMETHING FUN FOR EVERYONE AT MOHICAN ADVENTURES
With an aerial park, miniature golf, go-karts, and river trips, there is something to do at Mohican Adventures for pretty much everyone no matter what age. The miniature golf includes 3 lighted courses, each at a different skill level to allow the whole family to play. When it comes to the go-karts, there are two tracks. One for families with two-seater cars so the little ones can enjoy the thrill too. The second is the “slick track” and requires drivers to be at least 16 and holding their own licence.
When it comes to the river trips, there are plenty of options there too. Float down the Mohican River via tube, kayak, raft, or canoe. Watercraft and personal flotation devices are provided on site.
We spent much of our time on the aerial course at Mohican Adventures. You can see some of our adventurers in the video above to get a feel for a small part of the course. Once again, there are low, medium, and high levels which will appeal to different abilities, preferences, and skills. As a further safety requirement, each participant must complete one of the lower, more basic courses successfully before advancing to the higher ones.
When staying at Mohican State Park, this is a great day out activity for your family. Or spend one day at Mohican Adventures floating down the river and come back for another day of miniature golf, go-karting, and on the aerial course. There truly is something for everyone!
