Love it or hate it, you have to admit that candy corn is one of the quintessential candies of Halloween. I love me some candy corn – besides the taste, there’s those bright colors that I just love.

I actually had my bedroom in candy corn colors once when I was a kid! But even more than all of that, it’s the nostalgia it evokes for me. I remember so vividly bursting through the door at my grandma’s house.

She’d call out, “Don’t slam the door” but it was always too late. In my rush to see what goodies she had on hand, I had already let it go.

In winter, she often had those pink and white peppermints but at Halloween time, there was always a jar of those delicious orange, yellow, and white candies to greet me. Yum!

Oh gosh, I was never a Candy Corn person. However, foods that imitated candy corn but didn’t taste like them, I am a-ok with those! LOL!
