I don’t think there is anything better on a hot summer day than a cold glass of lemonade (well, maybe it’s on par with sweet tea). In fact, sometimes on a cold winter’s day when I feel like I need a taste of summer, I will pour myself a tall glass of lemonade as a reminder of those sunny days yet to come.
This Strawberry Basil Lemonade is a delicious variation on the classic recipe. It’s a refreshing drink that tickles your taste buds with the bright citrus flavor combined with the sweetness of the strawberries. The basil adds that unexpected wow factor that takes this drink over the top!
This Strawberry Basil Lemonade really hits the spot on a hot sunny day! Make it with raspberries or a berry blend if you prefer. Delicious and refreshing!
My lemonade recipe isn’t as sweet as you might expect it to be. There is some sugar in it as well as the natural sweetness from the strawberries, but I cut the sugar in half from my basic lemonade mixture. Feel free to add more if you prefer. Honey and/or maple syrup is another option.
