How to Make a Paper Plate Astronaut Helmet

Step 1
Prepare the template patterns. Select your colored craft papers and a medium-sized paper plate for the astronaut helmet craft. Trace the template patterns onto the selected craft papers and carefully cut them out.

Step 2
Take the antenna cutout and glue it onto one of the communicator device cutouts. Glue the glass shine cutout onto the helmet glass cutout.
Step 3
Choose a paper plate for the helmet base. Our template is designed to fit a smaller paper plate.

Step 4
Glue the helmet glass base to the bottom flat side of the paper plate. Leave enough space below the glass section for the button cutouts.
Step 5
Attach the helmet base or support cutout to the bottom edge of the paper plate helmet.

Step 6
Glue the communicator device cutouts onto both sides of the paper plate helmet.

Step 7
Use markers to trace around the shapes and details to give the astronaut helmet a neat finished look.

Step 8
Glue the button cutouts underneath the helmet glass area on the paper plate. Add outlines and details to the buttons with markers.
