I just adore crafting with mason jars. There’s something about them that makes me all nostalgic! Anytime I can incorporate them into a craft or a decorating scheme, I’m all over that
My mom and grandmothers used to belong to a homemakers’ club. This mason jar sewing kit was one of the projects they often made out of mason jars or old coffee cans. It was a perfect bridal shower gift.
Mason Jar Sewing Kit
With my daughter getting married in 5 weeks, I decided to revive the idea for her. It would also make an ideal Mother’s Day gift. You can even get the kids in on the act to help make these.
These sewing kits require very little in supplies:
Felt or fabric, a bit of polyester stuffing, a mason jar with lid and ring, glue or needle and thread (or use a sewing machine), scissors (a pair of tiny ones can come in handy for trimming and a rotary cutter can be great for cutting out the pockets).
