This Grogu Pocket Organizer is such a fun craft for Star Wars fans, especially anyone who loves a project that is both cute and useful.

Made with felt, paint, and a simple embroidery hoop, it creates a small pocket that can hold notes, stickers, bookmarks, trading cards, tiny keepsakes, or other little treasures.

It’s a great craft for kids, tweens, or family crafting time, and it also makes an adorable handmade gift for a Mandalorian fan.

The layered felt creates Grogu’s robe and face, while the little felt ears and dimensional paint details bring the whole thing together.

How to Make a Grogu Pocket Organizer

STEP ONE

Gather all supplies.

Loosen the screw at the top of the wooden embroidery hoop and separate the inner ring from the outer ring.

Layering tan and neon green felt pieces with the embroidery hoop to begin the Grogu pocket organizer craft.

Layer the tan felt on top of the green felt, so that 4” of the green is at the top and 3” of the tan is at the bottom.

Place the inner hoop underneath the layered felt. Fit the felt loosely into the outer ring of the embroidery hoop.

Pull felt gently from the back to ensure the felt is taught and then tighten the screw at the top of the hoop.

STEP TWO

Trim the excess felt from the back of the embroidery hoop with scissors. Felt craft sheets are the perfect for crafting because when cut they will not fray like traditional materials.

Apply a thin line of glue with a glue gun to the cut edge of the felt to secure.

Pro Tip: You can use liquid craft glue for this project, but you will have to wait for the glue to dry.

STEP THREE

Paint the top of the outside and front edge of the embroidery hoop with bright green acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry.

Apply a second coat, if necessary.

Paint the bottom of the outside and front edge of the embroidery hoop with tan acrylic craft paint. Set aside to dry.

Apply a second coat, if necessary.

STEP FOUR

Download, print and roughly cut out the Grogu Patterns.

Cutting Grogu ear and collar shapes from felt using printed templates and scissors.

Attach the ears to neon green felt and the collar to the tan felt with straight pins.

Cut out two ears and one collar with scissors.

Pro Tip: If working with younger kids, cut out patterns and trace onto felt with a dark marker.

Attaching neon green felt ears to the embroidery hoop with hot glue.

Place a small dap of glue at the base of each ear and fold partially in half. Glue the ears to the top right and top left of the embroidery hoop, using the metal screw as your center point.

STEP FIVE

Slide a piece of scrap paper into the pocket so that the glue doesn’t seep through.

Gluing the tan felt collar onto the Grogu pocket organizer craft.

Attach the collar to the top edge of the tan felt pocket with a glue gun and glue sticks.

Adding brown dimensional paint details to the finished Grogu pocket organizer collar.

Using the brown dimensional fabric paint, outline the collar and draw on a few folds to mimic the look of the fabric.

You can use this pocket organizer as bedroom decor, a desk accessory, or a fun handmade holder for small Star Wars-themed goodies. It would also be cute for party favors, May the Fourth activities, or a simple screen-free craft afternoon.

This Grogu Pocket Organizer is a sweet little project that turns basic craft supplies into something both decorative and practical.

The embroidery hoop gives it a finished look, while the felt pocket makes it useful for holding small keepsakes, notes, or treasures.

Whether you’re making it for Star Wars Day (May the 4th), a Star Wars party, or just because Grogu is too cute to resist, this is a fun craft that kids and fans can enjoy displaying long after craft time is over.
