Frozen Lemonade Pie Recipe

Filed Under: Desserts, CELEBRATE, COOK, Fruit, Summer

There’s something magical about those old-school, no-fuss recipes that come together with just a few ingredients and a little chill time. This frozen lemonade pie recipe is one of those beloved make ahead summer desserts from my childhood—the kind of treat you’d find scribbled on a well-worn index card in Grandma’s recipe box.

It’s cool, creamy, and refreshingly tart, making it a go-to for hot summer days, backyard BBQs, or just because. The best part? You can whip it up ahead of time, stash it in the freezer, and pull it out when you’re ready to wow your guests—or just treat yourself!

FAQs

Can I make this pie ahead of time?

Yes! This pie is ideal for making ahead since it needs to freeze for several hours. You can even make it a day or two in advance and keep it stored in the freezer until ready to serve.

What can I use instead of homemade graham cracker crust?

If you’re short on time, a store-bought graham cracker crust works perfectly. It’s a great shortcut and still delicious!

Can I use other flavors besides plain lemonade?

Absolutely! Try pink lemonade, limeade, or even raspberry lemonade concentrate for fun variations. You can also mix in a drop or two of food coloring to match the flavor or occasion.

Is there a dairy-free version of this recipe?

I have not personally tried making a dairy-free version of it. However, you can experiment with dairy-free ice cream and whipped topping alternatives. Just make sure the consistency is similar to the original so the pie sets properly.

How do I store frozen lemonade pie?

Keep it covered in the freezer until ready to serve. Once cut, store any leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a week for best taste and texture.
