Glue the corks together in rows. Stack and secure two corks on the bottom, three corks in the middle, and two corks on the top with a glue gun. If using liquid craft glue. you will need to hold the corks together with a rubber band during the drying process.
STEP TWO
For the snowman body, attach three corks, four corks, five corks, four corks, and three corks with a glue gun and glue sticks much in the same way you made the snowman head.
Once again, you’ll be gluing the corks together in rows. Stack and secure three corks on the bottom, four corks on the second row, five corks on the third row, four corks on the fourth row, and three corks on the top row. Refer to the pictures if needed to see how to assemble these rows.
STEP THREE
Apply a basecoat of white acrylic craft paint on each end of the corks using a paintbrush. Let dry and apply a second coat, if necessary. You can leave the sides of the corks natural or paint them white as well.
STEP FOUR
Attach the snowman head to the body using the glue gun and glue sticks. Cut a triangle from orange craft foam and glue it to the center of the snowman head to form the nose.
Pro Tip: Orange felt, or cardstock would also work for this project, use what you have on hand.
STEP FIVE
To create the scarf, tie a black and white gingham ribbon around the snowman’s neck and attach it with a dot or two of glue to secure it in place.
Pro Tip: You can also cut a piece of scrap fabric from an old piece of clothing, grab a remnant at the fabric store, or use felt for this instead.
This adorable little snowman is quick and easy to make for family, friends, co-workers, or even the kids’ teachers. Your family and friends will never know how simple and inexpensive this trendy Recycled Wine Cork Snowman was to create!
