Vanilla Rose Salt Soak

Filed Under: DIY Spa Products, CREATE

This simple Vanilla Rose Salt Soak is made with common, inexpensive ingredients like Epsom salts, sea salt, and baking soda. Fragrant rose petals, rose absolute, and vanilla essential oils were added to take it to the next level.

If you want to have a home spa experience, make some of this salt soak. I find salt soaks so relaxing and soothing. It makes a great gift too!

Supplies:

  • ½ cup Epsom salts
  • ¼ cup coarse sea salt
  • 2 tbsp baking soda
  • 2 tbsp dried rose petals
  • 15 drops rose absolute essential oil
  • 10 drops vanilla essential oil

Directions:

Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and stir well to combine.

Store in an airtight container, and use 2-4 tablespoons in your bath.

Some studies suggest that Epsom salts can help deal with inflammation. In fact, when I used to get massages regularly, as I’d leave the therapist’s office, she would hand me a baggie of the salts and suggest I take a bath in them as soon as I got home. Whether there actually is a medical effect or not, I do find that my muscles feel more soothed and relaxed after a salt soak than a regular bath. Maybe give it a try and see how you like it!
