Find some fantastic ideas for getting organized for your Thanksgiving celebration with my free printable Countdown to Thanksgiving Checklist below.

It’s nearly Thanksgiving here in Canada (although these tips will apply to those of you in the US as well, but you have more time to get ready!). It’s funny how it can sneak up on us sometimes and suddenly there we are in a crowd of other last-minute shoppers on the Saturday of the holiday weekend trying to pull a lovely meal together.

Grab some great ideas for make-ahead Thanksgiving side dishes here.

Of course, my philosophy is that the most important part of Thanksgiving is pausing to be grateful and spending time with people we love. The meal is great but it’s not what matters most. Still, if you’re planning a celebration, it’s a great idea to be as organized as possible!

Countdown to Thanksgiving Checklist

There have been years when my daughter and I weren’t well (we both have chronic illnesses) and so we had dinner in bed, watching old movies, and eating a “Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” meal – a whole variety of stuff we love that didn’t require a lot of work. But, if you are planning a more traditional Thanksgiving celebration, now is the time to get prepared for it.
