Welcome back to Summer Fun Fridays! Rubber band painting is a unique and fun way for your kids to create art. It only requires a few materials and they are easy to find at your local dollar store. Because it’s such an inexpensive art project, it’s perfect for doing with large groups like classes and Scout groups too.

Rubber Band Painting
The snapping of the rubber bands causes the paint to spatter so it’s a good idea to do this outside if you can. Otherwise, just be sure to put down a plastic tablecloth or tarp or something to protect your surface. It’s also a good idea to put on old clothes or a paint shirt to protect the kids’ clothing. The paint we used is washable but it’s still a good idea to be safe just in case.
