Back to school is looking very different this year. Whether your kids are going back to in-person teaching, homeschooling, or online learning, they still have to eat! If you’re looking for more Kid Friendly School Lunch Ideas to add to your arsenal, you’ve come to the right place!
Important tip: Even if your kids are learning at home, it’s so helpful to think ahead to lunchtimes. Make them a lunch just as if they were leaving the house to attend school.
Then, they can just grab their food when lunchtime rolls around without needing you at all! I always got my daughter involved in the process of at least selecting items for her lunch, if not also helping to prepare it.
When my daughter was little, we seemed to go through phases when it came to school lunches. There would be the times where a simple tuna sandwich with an apple and cucumber slices would be just fine.
Then, the picky (bored maybe?) eater would show up and I’d have to get much more creative about it. Of course, kids are active and need that food as fuel to get them through the school day and keep their brains firing on all cylinders.
My daughter has hypoglycemia and skipping meals is not an option. So, it was even more important for me to find simple ideas that had kid appeal!
