Ingredients

- 40 Oreo cookies
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 20 oz White Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers (bag and a half) – we used Ghirardelli
- 4 drops green food coloring (neon or bright green works best)
- 20 red candy heart sprinkles
Instructions

Make Oreo Crumbs
Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and blend until you have fine, even crumbs.

Blend in the Cream Cheese
Add the cream cheese to the processor. Blend again until the mixture looks thick, smooth, and “mud-like.”

Roll the Oreo Balls
Use a 1-tablespoon cookie scoop to portion the dough. Roll each scoop into a ball with your hands and place it on a tray. Repeat until all the mixture is rolled.

Freeze
Place the tray in the freezer for 2 hours so the balls can firm up and hold their shape when dipped.

Melt and Tint the Candy Coating
Melt 15 oz of the melting wafers according to package directions. Stir in 4 drops of green food coloring until the candy coating turns a bright Grinch shade.

Dip the Oreo Balls
Insert a skewer or toothpick into each ball and dip it into the melted green coating. Let excess drip off, then place each dipped ball on parchment paper to set.

Add White Chocolate Drizzle
Place the remaining white melting wafers in a piping bag. Microwave on defrost for 1 minute, then continue heating in 30-second intervals until melted. Drizzle the white chocolate over the Oreo balls.
Add the Heart
Press a single red candy heart onto each ball before the drizzle sets.
Store
Keep the Grinch Oreo Balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Storage Tips
- Refrigerate for up to 5 days
- Freeze (undipped or dipped) for up to 2 months
- If freezing already dipped balls, wrap individually to protect the coating

FAQs
Can I use regular white chocolate instead of melting wafers?
You can, but melting wafers give a smoother, easier dipping experience. Regular chocolate may need shortening added to thin it.
Can I use a hand mixer instead of a food processor?
A food processor gives the most consistent texture. A hand mixer works, but blend the cookies into crumbs first.
My coating seized when I added food coloring — why?
Water-based food coloring can sometimes react with candy melts. Gel food coloring works best.
How do I keep them from cracking?
Make sure the Oreo balls warm up just a bit after coming out of the freezer before dipping — not fully thawed, just not rock-solid.
