I just love Christmas music! I could almost listen to it all year long (but I don’t – I never want to get bored with it!). Every Christmas Eve my daughter puts together a special playlist for us to play while we’re opening our gifts and enjoying some special time together. This year, since she’s not here, I decided to come up with my own playlist made up of some of my all time favourite holiday songs (and my favourite versions of those songs). Enjoy!

Note – I made a playlist up of these on Youtube here so if you want to, you can just play it from start to finish!

Carol of the Bells -Trans Siberian Orchestra

Little Drummer Boy – Pentatonix

Emmanuel/Little Town/Christmas Hymn -Amy Grant

Sing Mary Sing – Jennifer Knapp

Angels We Have Heard on High – Sixpence None the Richer

Breath of Heaven – Amy Grant  – this is my all time favourite Christmas song

Do You Hear What I Hear – Idina Menzel

O Holy Night – Bing Crosby – my dad’s favourite and being sung by Bing just reminds me of him

Mary Did You Know – Pentatonix

Hark the Herald Angels Sing – Pentatonix

The Gift Goes On – Sandi Patty

Love Has Come – Amy Grant

Go Tell it on the Mountain – Pentatonix

Silent Night – Jackie Evancho I used to sing my daughter to sleep with this every Christmas Eve.

What Child is This – Martina McBride (another Christmas lullaby for my daughter)

I would have included Come Let Us Worship the King by Sandi Patty which I adore but I can’t find a decent recording of it.

What’s your favourite Christmas song?
