Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 18-20 minutes
Ingredients:
- ½ lbs. bacon
- ¼ cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- Dash of black pepper (if you like it really peppery, add more and/or use freshly cracked pepper).
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray
Cut the bacon strips in half and place on the baking sheet. Do not overlap them.
In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, brown sugar and black pepper and mix until well combined.
Brush the mixture over the bacon on both sides.
Bake for 18-20 minutes in the oven
