Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon

This Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon is so delicious and so versatile. It’s a great appetizer for a party but also perfect for a brunch get-together with family and friends.

Sweet, but with a bit of bite from the pepper, this candied bacon is so good that you’ll want to serve it again and again. The fact that it takes only 5 minutes of prep and is ready in under half an hour makes it even better!

Try serving it with this Turkish Eggs recipe for a brunch that is out of this world. They’re poached eggs with a delightful twist that you’re going to love.

Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon

Candied Maple Brown Sugar Bacon

Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 18-20 minutes

Ingredients:

  • ½ lbs. bacon
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • Dash of black pepper (if you like it really peppery, add more and/or use freshly cracked pepper).

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. 

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray

Cut the bacon strips in half and place on the baking sheet. Do not overlap them.

In a small bowl, mix the maple syrup, brown sugar and black pepper and mix until well combined.

Brush the mixture over the bacon on both sides.

Bake for 18-20 minutes in the oven
