Coloured felt
Small twig or wooden stick

How to Make a Spoon Witch

Step 1

Choose the felt colours you would like to use for your witch. Trace the template pieces onto the felt using a fabric marker or tailor’s chalk. Carefully cut out each piece.

To begin making the witch’s broom, glue one end of the small twig or stick to the uncut edge of the felt broom piece.

Step 3

Wrap the uncut edge of the felt broom piece around the end of the stick. Secure the felt with glue and allow it to dry.

Glue the felt band across the witch’s hat.

Step 5

Choose an acrylic paint colour for your witch—we used green. Paint the back of the spoon’s bowl and the lower portion of its handle. You can leave the middle of the handle unpainted because it will be covered by the dress. Allow the paint to dry completely.

Glue the larger hair piece to the back of the spoon’s bowl.

Glue the bangs to the front of the spoon near the top of the bowl. The spoon’s bowl should be positioned between the back hair piece and the bangs.

Glue the completed hat to the top of the witch’s hair.

Use a black permanent marker to draw the witch’s eyes, nose, and mouth on the painted spoon.

Arrange and glue the decorative felt pieces onto the dress.

Step 11

Glue the completed dress around the spoon’s handle, directly below the bowl. Attach the broomstick to one side of the dress to complete your spoon witch craft.
