20 Things to do Before Spring Ends

I can hardly believe that we are nearing the end of spring. It felt like it would never come and then suddenly, it was half over! I love to savor every season as much as possible so here are my suggestions for 20 Things to do Before Spring Ends.

There are twenty different ideas to choose from and most of them cost little or nothing at all. They’re just simple ways to take in the best of the season before it’s over.

20 Things to do Before Spring Ends

Marvel in the new growth around you. Take a walk through a forest or park or head to a local botanical garden.

Plant your own garden to enjoy this year.

Listen to the birds singing outside your house. Grab a pair of binoculars and see how many different birds you can identify.

Dine al fresco (outside). Head to the backyard and enjoy the sights and sounds of spring while you dine.

baseball in a glove

Take in a baseball game.

Bake a seasonal pie or make a fruit crisp. If you live in Ontario, you can find out what’s in season here. Otherwise, Google “what’s in season” and the name of your location.

Fly a kite. Buy one or make your own.

Head to the closest pond or lake and feed the ducks.

Make and hang a bird feeder in your backyard. Remember to keep refilling it.

dandelion blowing in the wind

Make a wish on a dandelion.

Go outside and play in the rain.

Search for a four-leaf clover.

Go shopping at a local farmer’s market or farmstand.

Do some spring cleaning. Get it over with now so you don’t have to worry about doing any deep cleaning this summer.

bicycle with basket filled with flowers

Go for a bike ride.

Head out for a game of mini-golf.

Go to a local farm or other venue open to the public to see the baby animals.

Skip stones across a pond.

Blow bubbles.

Get ready for summer. Pack a basket so it’s ready for impromptu picnics (just add food or pick some up from a takeout restaurant), fill a bin with backyard necessities (blankets, sunscreen, hats, wraps for chilly evenings, citronella candles, matches, and the like), and pack your beach bags with the essentials for a fun summer’s day in the sand.
