- Craft glue
- A pair of scissors
- Sharpies
- Template
Instructions:
Step 1:
Prepare template patterns by printing and cutting them out. Select colored cardstock papers for the head, eye bases and the body base and select colored craft papers for the shell base and twirl pattern. Trace the template patterns on the selected papers and cut them out using scissors.
Step 2:
Take the shell base and the twirl. Join the twirl cutout on the shell base.
Step 3:
Glue the eye cutouts on the eye bases and use a sharpie to draw the eyes.
Step 4:
Glue the eye bases with the head cutout, on its round side. Use a matching sharpie to draw borders on the eye bases and the head.
Step 5:
Take the body base cutout and fold it in half along the yellow marked line.
Step 6:
Use a sharpie to draw the mouth and blush spots of the paper snail pattern.
Step 7:
Make a thin fold along the bottom side of the snail’s head pattern. Apply glue along the thin folded part.
Step 8:
Join the glued side of the head with the closed side of the body base, near an open end.
Step 9:
Glue the paper shell pattern on the closed side of the body base too, adjacent to the head pattern.
Step 10:
You can now place the snail on a flat surface on its round-open ends. The paper snail can rock on those bottom round ends.
