This cheesecloth ghost craft is so easy to make and such a fun addition to your Halloween decor. My mom used to make these when I was little and it was so much fun to revive this craft project.

You only need a few materials to make these Halloween craft. My mom used to use Aleene’s Fabric Stiffener and Draping Liquid but Mod Podge is what I used here. Maker’s Magic would like work really well too if that’s what you have on hand but Mod Podge is the most economical alternative.

Cheesecloth Ghost Craft

Supplies:

1’- 2 ’x 1’- 2’ Cheesecloth (depending on how big you’d like the ghost)

4 oz Mod Podge

¼ C Water

Fork

1 Balloon

2 Containers (for Mod Podge mixture / to place the inflated balloon in)

Scissors

Black construction paper

Wax paper/newspaper / or paper towels (under the ghost while it dries)

Glue

Directions:

1. Cut cheesecloth to the size you’d like the ghost to be.

2. Inflate the balloon, place it into the container, set it on wax paper, and then set it aside.

3. In the other medium container, stir to combine Mod Podge and water. Place the cheesecloth into the mixture and gently squeeze off the excess.

4. Lay the Mod Podge-soaked cheesecloth over the balloon.

5. Allow the Mod Podge to dry overnight.

6. Use scissors to deflate the balloon and remove it from under the Mod Podge.

7. Cut out two black ghost eyes and attach them with glue.

8. You may need to adjust the bottom of the ghost to make it stand up on its own.
