Ingredients

  • 2 cups baking mix like Bisquick
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup 7UP
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Cut the sour cream into the baking mix.
  2. Add the 7UP and mix well together into a soft dough.
  3. Sprinkle out some of the baking mix to cover your work surface, place the dough on top and pat it out.
  4. I found my dough to be beyond soft – it was gooey and needed to sprinkle extra baking mix over it in order to be able to cut it.
  5. I wasn’t able to use a biscuit cutter and found that simply cutting into squares with a knife worked better.
  6. Pour the melted butter into a 9 inch square baking pan.  Place the biscuits in the pan on top of the butter.
  7. Bake at 450 degrees F for about 12-15 minutes until the biscuits are golden brown.
