Ingredients

  • 10 Lemons freshy squeezed
  • 14 strawberries sliced
  • Water
  • 6 basil leaves chopped
  • 1 cup sugar more if you would like it sweeter

Instructions

  1. Muddle the basil with half of the strawberries. If you don't have a muddler, you can use a wooden kitchen mallet or even a wooden spoon. Add to your pitcher.

  2. Reserve one lemon to slice for garnish. Squeeze the juice from the rest of the lemons and pour into the pitcher.

  3. Heat 1 cup of water in a saucepan to boiling. Stir in the sugar until completely dissolved. Remove from heat.

  4. Stir in the remaining strawberries, reserving some for garnish. Pour sugar and strawberry mixture into pitcher with lemon juice and muddled ingredients.

  5. Add water to fill the pitcher and stir well. Pour into a glass of ice garnished with a slice of lemon and a strawberry.
