Word and Song of the Year 2014

For the past few years I’ve been choosing both a word and a song to symbolize my approach for that year. Really, it’s like a snapshot of where I am in my life at that moment and where I’m hoping to go.  This year’s word and song, as always, came to me gradually over time but were solidified by my attendance at Blissdom Canada in October.  There was so much inspiration and motivation to be found in the experience and I knew that I was ready to embark on some new ventures.  I’ve lived a life of dreams – so many wishes and dreams and ideas of things I wanted to do.  Don’t get me wrong – my life has been a very very happy one but I know that I could be achieving even more if only I weren’t holding myself back.  2014 is the year when I let go of fear.  2014 is my year to be BRAVE.

It was nice of Sara Bareilles to write me a song to go along with my word of the year!

Do you have a word or song for the year? What’s yours?
