Thankful Thursday

Sometimes it can be so easy to get caught up in the stress and negativity that we can encounter in our lives.  When I was first in a major car accident, I began a gratitude journal as a way of focusing on what was good in my life and not what I had lost.  In that vein, I’m initiating Thankful Thursdays to once again bring my attention back to what I cherish in my life and to remind myself of just how blessed I am.

The number one thing I’m grateful for is my daughter.  We’re very close – she is my best friend and I’m lucky enough that while she is in university we get to spend tons of one on one time together each summer!  We spend a lot of time hanging out at movies, going to our favourite little town Sparta, heading to the beach, and getting together with other family members.  Tomorrow, we get to go to Storybook Gardens with my little grand nephew who’s 3 1/2 and my little grand niece who’s 2 (and their parents!).  I can’t wait.

“If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice.”  ~Meister Eckhart
