Summer is quickly coming to an end. Soon the kids will be back to school (some already are!) and Autumn will be in full swing. Our weather has even been on the chilly side lately here and there – a hint of what’s to come. I’m not quite ready to let go of summer just yet though. I’m planning one or two more summer outings; a trip to the beach, a picnic in the park, or maybe one more backyard party. If you’re like me and looking to celebrate summer’s last hurrah, here are a few ideas I’ve gathered to inspire you.

Perfect for summer! Turn a watermelon into a keg! We used to have “watermelon roasts” when I was in university. This spout would have come in handy. Check out the yumminess! DIY Watermelon Keg Key Lime Fizz Cocktail I’m pretty much all over anything lime these days. This sounds so refreshing. Sip this in the hammock and you’ll forget all about fall being right around the corner. Key Lime Fizz Recipe Smores Bites Recipe

There is nothing that says summer more than S’mores, am I right? The great thing about this recipe is that even if you can’t make it to a campfire to make traditional S’mores, you can make these in an oven.  S’mores Bites Recipe

Get outside with your kids and gather up a few things from nature so you can make some of these fun crafts. Make plaster castings in sand, rock paperweights, and more! Nature Crafts

10 Water Play Activities

I always love when we get that one last blast of hot weather. It turns cooler for several days or maybe even a couple weeks and just when you think that Autumn is here, BOOM! There’s a day or two of hot summery weather once again. And what better to do with those last moments of summer but to spend them cooling off in the water.  Water Play Ideas

What do YOU have planned for these last precious bits of summer?
