Have you ever had a London Fog? It’s my favourite way to have tea. It’s an Earl Grey tea latte made with a touch of vanilla and some frothy milk on top – YUM! Recently, at my local grocery store, they were discussing the value and benefits of tea and demonstrating some recipes with tea as a key ingredient. As soon as I saw the London Fog oats, I knew I had to try making my own version of it!

overnight-oats-in-a-jar-london-fog I love how handy this is. Breakfast is always an issue for me. I never feel like making anything to eat first thing in the morning and often then get busy with work and forget to eat until mid-afternoon. These overnight oats in a jar are a great way to prepare my breakfast the night before and then all I have to do in the morning is heat it up and eat!

To make these Overnight London Fog Inspired Oats in a Jar, simply combine the following ingredients in a mason jar and place in the fridge overnight:

Heat up in the morning (I prefer to put it into a bowl for more even heating but you can heat and eat right out of the jar – just make sure you take the lid off before putting in the microwave!) – 1/3 cup oats (I used the large flake kind), 1/2 cup Almond Breeze almond milk, 1/2 cup Earl Grey tea (brewed stronger than you usually like it – use Earl Grey decaff if you prefer), 1 tablespoon of chia seeds, 1 tablespoon of ground flax seeds, 1 tablespoon of hemp hearts, 1/2 packet of stevia, and 1/4 tsp. of pure vanilla extract.

Research has shown that teas such as Earl Grey can provide immune system support through the antioxidant properties of theaflavins and other tea flaonoids. Almond Breeze almond milk is a source of calcium, lactose free, gluten free, dairy free, and cholesterol free (a perfect choice for my heart healthy eating plan), flax, hemp, and chia seeds are great sources of healthy omega-3 fats, fibre, and protein.

Disclosure – Thanks so much to Almond Breeze almond milk for sponsoring this blog post and more importantly, my journey to healthier eating and a healthier lifestyle. Life really is #CoolerwithAlmondBreeze

I never thought of using almond breeze for overnight oats. Great idea!
