Our Netflix Favorites 2017

I am a huge Netflix fan. You might have figured that out if you’ve been around here for a while. My whole family loves it and we spend a lot of time watching our favorites there. From reruns of older shows we have known and loved to new discoveries to those amazing Netflix originals, we can always find something to enjoy. So, let’s take a look at Our Netflix Favorites of 2017.

Our Personal Top 10 Favorite TV Series for the kids/whole family:

  1. A Series of Unfortunate Events
  2. Magic School Bus and Magic School Bus Rides Again
  3. Trollhunters
  4. Home: Adventures with Tip and Oh
  5. Pokemon Indigo League
  6. One Day at a Time
  7. Beat Bugs
  8. Full House/Fuller House
  9. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air
  10. All Hail King Julien

Our whole family loves Netflix. We all watch it regularly (okay, okay – daily) and often send each other messages about our latest viewing. “Have you watched X yet? No??? Well, hurry up. I want to talk about it!” 

Then there were the shows that we issued warnings to each other about. “Don’t even THINK of trying to talk to me this weekend. The new season of Stranger Things comes out on Friday!” We survived on takeout food and very little sleep on those Netflix binge weekends, let me tell you.

  1. Grace and Frankie
  2. Stranger Things
  3. Orange is the New Black
  4. Gilmore Girls/Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life
  5. The Crown
  6. Glow
  7. Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
  8. When Calls the Heart
  9. Santa Clarita Diet
  10. Marvel’s The Defenders

Ahem. We don’t even discuss the Netflix cheating issue in our family anymore. It’s just too painful. (Okay, actually we just have all become better at lying about it. Wink.)

Then there are the shows we have seen before but are watching again on Netflix. And again. And again. “Haven’t you already seen that before?” “Yes. Your point?” After all, we loved it the first time…

  4. The Good Place
  5. Travelers

  10. Sherlock

    My all-time favorite show on Netflix the The Office. I watch it over and over again. My favorite Netflix original is Ozark and I can’t wait for more episodes!

    ITS been quite a few years since we had netflix (only one job now in our household so many things are non essential these days)
    When we did watch, we watched the WHOLE lost SERIES lol…STILL damned confused about it

    I loved Orange is the New Black and can’t wait to watch Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why and the Crown when I have time and the kids (8 & 11) are occupied elsewhere.

    I dont really have a favorite Netflix show right now (hubby and I gotta find a new one to get into) but I really enjoyed Stranger Things and Riverdale….just waiting for them to release the final episode

    My favorite show on Netflix Canada is Glow! It’s so cool with the 80’s theme & I love the funny characters. Marc Maron as Sam is just pure awesomeness. I am excited for Netflix to make a 2nd season of this !

    I don’t what would be my favourite but right now I’m finishing up the Gothom series. Stranger things was great and kids (and us) love Teen Titan’s Go!

    I really like The Ranch. Worried about the cast change but hopefully they can keep it funny so it continues.

    Right now, hubby and I are “catching up” on Orange is the New Black. I’ve heard lots of people talk about it, but never watched it. We’re on season 2 right now.

    I am also loving that all the old Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes are on Netflix. I am on season 7. I intend to watch Angel when I’m done the Buffy episodes.

    I’m all caught up on Fuller House. I watched the original show and I am loving the new version,

    My kids love Paw Patrol, Beat Bugs, the new Magic School Bus, Super Wings and Robocar Poli.

    Right now we’re watching Last Man on Earth. It started out slow, but gets funnier every time a new person gets added. 😉
