After some lunch out on the deck – is it just me or does food always taste better when you eat it outside? – it was time to explore some more of Melody Bay.  The beach had been calling our names since we got there so time to check it out!

There are places for fishing, boating, even a section reserved for dogs so the pups can go for a swim too!

We had a great time playing in the sand, swimming in the lake, and just hanging out together enjoying each other’s company.  After an hour or so there, we decided to do something different….like swimming in the pool instead of the lake! After all, it was time for some more water basketball and underwater retrieval games.  Once again, we had to drag everyone from the pool to get back to the cottage and have dinner.

After another delicious BBQ dinner, it was time for campfire and S’mores! Once again, we were all tired out from a busy day of having fun and we all hit the hay pretty early.

Before we had to say our goodbyes to Melody Bay the next day, we spent the morning once again at the pool and playing with the playground and sports equipment.  There were some planned activities that we could have taken part in as well – they have crafts, games, and other activities for the kids and there was a family Survivor event taking place.  We were trying to fit in so much fun and to take as much advantage of the amazing facilities as possible that we didn’t even have time to do any of those!

Have you been to a Parkbridge Resort? We had such an amazing time that we are looking into actually purchasing one of the cottages as a family cottage so we can go back again and again. Definitely the perfect family summer activity in our books!
