I’m new at hand piecing and quilting having just taken one 2 hour workshop on it.  We made a mug rug with a log cabin design.  A friend of mine loves Scottie dogs and years ago I found this fabric and tucked it away until I could figure out what to make from it.  So, to start, I decided to make her a little quilted mug rug.  So far, I’ve only pieced together these 3 strips but I think it’s going to be really cute when it’s finished.  I have some coordinating fabric that I’ll be using to make one of those coffee cup wraps to go with this.
