As I write this, I am sitting in my hotel room in Quebec City. This hotel, the Chateau Frontenac, is one I have dreamed of staying in since I was a kid. Let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint. It is luxurious but even better in my eyes, it is filled with history. The staff have been amazing and the food in the restaurants on site has been just what I wanted out of Quebec. Of course, we’ve been exploring the city and local countryside too. Blog posts sharing the experience are to come but in the meantime, if you’ve ever considered coming to Quebec City, stop sitting on the fence. It has something for everyone and the beauty of the city and its people just shouldn’t be missed.
I love my home but leaving Quebec is not going to be easy. The only thing that makes it better is knowing that we’re already making plans to come back! There are a few things we couldn’t do because they were out of season. And alas, I came here with pneumonia and flared up asthma and now my little Moonpie is sick with a runny nose and bad cough. So, a few days, we took it pretty easy and didn’t spend as much time sightseeing as we normally would. Even then, the downtime (and the French food we had delivered to our hotel room!!!) was lovely. How was your week?
